I checked out a new tot lot. Most of the coins were fresh drops barely covered in the wood chips. No silver or gold this time. There was a nice sports field but that wasn't my goal this trip. I will search it at some point.
Just found the usual clad, trash, and an odd item, it's shaped like a bullet tip but is probably the tip off a pen or something, hopefully. The little butterfly is junk.
I had a second much larger tot lot to check too, but when I got there the whole area was full of people. An event of some kind was going on so I will hit that one next but very early, before the crowds arrive. Here's the diggings of my day.

Lots of finds, nice weather, interesting things. Seems like a really nice day.
But the key is, did you enjoy not having to look at the snow? ;)

Gotta keep in mind what we went through to get there. :)

Loco digger- yes, and since the wood chips are easy to dig I dig all targets, in hopes of getting some gold.

OBN- clad is everywhere! Before I got a detector I use to wear a dive mask go under water and fan the sand and find coins and occasionally paper money would be floating along the bottom.

WHADIFIND- Yes I enjoy just getting out. It's nice to see the ground and it's NOT frozen or buried under a mountain of white!
I can't wait to hit the other large tot lot Sunday! They had an event with lots of people there recently so I'm really excited! Plus after all the tot lots, there are all the sports fields and schools will be out so I have more opportunity to search!

Nice haul of clad. There should be some good stuff around with that kind of stash. I don't think I have that much clad out the 3 main tot lots I hit(but I'll take the 10K and diamonds..lol). The ring I got came from under about 3 inches of top sand and 4-5 inches of packed sand, these areas are great for deeper hits if they are loose dirt and wood chips! Keep hammering those sights I fully believe you will hit gold sooner or later. GL!

I looked for a pic of what I believe your "bullet" item is...
But to no avail...
My guess... Tip from tire inflator gauge.

Yep, under the wood chips is packed sand, that's where the aluminum cans and metal anchors for the old (now gone) tot lot equipment hides! The can parts are mine! But the metal footings will have to stay. They frown upon back hoe digging, unless it's done by Tonka. Lol!

I will sincerely try not to disappoint you, I will find the gold...at some point!

Yep clad fills the gap until the gold comes. I know there's good stuff in the fields, the digging is a lot harder tho.
