I've been telling myself lately to keep my eyes peeled. As we were sitting down at our favorite Sunday breakfast I spotted it on the floor. I'll be surprised if it's the real deal.Yep, it's stamped CHINA. Rings a pretty steady 53 air testing on AT though.

Wife's ring and rock for comparison. IMG_2720.jpg IMG_2730.jpg IMG_2727.jpg

Work right next to a jeweler so I'll get it checked out tomorrow.

Nice find. Always keep your eyes peeled, even if you are not detecting. You would be surprised what you can find in parking lots, and other places.

Can’t wait to find out if it was real. Made in China has me worried though

No need to worry! It's real.

Now don't get all excited. It's not a real diamond, but it isn't imaginary. You should be worried for me if I start posting pictures of things I imagine.

Took it over to the jeweler's and he took one look at it after I told him how I found it. Barely even glanced at it and said "it's CZ. You can tell by the neon sort of glow instead of sparkle." "Probably set in sterling, but could be gold."

Hey, if it's gold....that'd be my first gold eyeball!

Thanks for the encouragement and well wishes. If the stud turns out to be gold I'll let you all know. For now, it goes in the "finds" mason jar.
