F2 vs ACE250 vs X-TERRA30 OR MAYBE F4 :) Which one to buy ?

For the money its going to be hard not to go with the F2. It also comes with the sniper coil. Very easy to use and has good depth.

I am new too, but I have learned some things. I think if you want the best answer to this question you should provide some more info if at all possible:

WHat kind of hunting are you looking to do? Coins? Relics? Prospecting?

Where do you plan to hunt? Parks? Beaches?

What kind of soil will you be hunting in? Is it highly mineralized?

If you live where there is highly mineralized soil get one of the Fishers or Minelabs. They tend do do a lot better and go deeper in nasty soils.

If your soil is moderate to lightly mineralized it really doesn't matter as much which detector you buy, as long as it's not some cheap piece of junk made overseas that only achieves 3" or so depth.

You won't need a pinpointer with the F-2, F-4, or F-5 though. With the Ace you might. The F-4 does not have enough extra value to merit the extra cost over the F-2. The F-5 does though.
