I've got a friend thats looking to buy a detector. He wants the best performance available but needs it to be light weight. Thats why he isn't looking at the DFX or SE.

We've been looking at the Fisher F75 and the Tesoro Cortes. Anyone had experience with both of these willing to give some pros & cons?

I have a Deleon (which is very close to the Cortes), and I just bought a F75.
Deleon is much more simple to use, more fun (start and go, no complicated settings or GB), silent detecting (it beeps only on true targets), .... BUT it won't go as deep as the F75 (just tested this week end with a friend on some targets in the woods), and the F75 is much more efficient in trashy area.

In my opinion you will find more with the F75...
