I picked up Jason, a forum member visiting from Madison MS, at his motel around 7:00 o'clock this morning and we headed out to our first permission site, a 1952 home.

Right off the bat, Jason's first dig was a Washington silver quarter and shortly there after he found his first silver dime. Finally, I got loosened up and found a 1958 Washington quarter and started reining in silver dimes. I ended up finding 8 of them.

Jason not to be out done cornered a Walking Liberty Half Dollar by the driveway. That beauty put a big smile on his face. I think Jason found 6 silvers total. We ended up getting permission to detect two of the neighbors' yards. One of them we did really well on and the other one we didn't find any silver at all.

We stopped detecting around 11:00 o'clock and head for home. On way home we got 4 more nice permissions to detect tomorrow to go along the 4 that I already had.

This was my 53rd hunt for the year and my silver coin total for the year now stands at 159. All done without getting skunked on a single hunt.

My F75DST detector settings: 9.0, Sensitivity 85, Jewelry Mode, 3H Tones, Disc Level 0, GB 71.

Wow awesome hunt brother...
Thanks! Every once in awhile I'll get permission to detect a yard that's loaded up with silver.

That last pic makes me dizzy! :3some: That's an awesome haul.
Thanks! It's a break from just getting one or two.

Congrats to both of you on all the silver
Thanks! I'm glad that Jason got over some good silver today. Hopefully even more tomorrow.

Thanks! Captain Caveman (Jason) is really fun to detect with. He's pretty damn good! I get a lot of permissions because I'm a outgoing person and don't mind getting a no every once in awhile.

Another nice score tabman, your having a banner year so far. :headbang: It's nice that you share your permissions with a fellow Tnetter. :notworthy: I sure wish I could average 2.24 silvers per hour.

What a great haul!

I'm trying to figure out if I am allowed to hunt sidewalk strips like that. There never seems to be anyone outside when I am walking my dogs to ask if the homeowner's "own" them or if they belong to the city. The strips here are random too. Our house/street doesn't have them but the next block over does.

You are killing it this year. Continued success!

Yeah, I can remember back when I felt lucky to find just one silver coin.

Thanks! Captain Caveman is a super nice guy and fun to detect with.

Thanks! The sidewalk and the grassy area between it and the curb belongs to the city, BUT the homeowner takes care of it. It's best to get permission from the owner. It's easy if you just ask. Most people don't mind, but a few do.

Congratz on all those silvers! And thanks for the invite and sharing your silver :tongue3:. I'm glad I took the trip and got to watch the silver master in action. They made for some good memories. If you ever come to Jackson, I hope I can repay the favor! :occasion14:

Very well done on all of the silvers. Memphis is WAY better than Charlotte for finding silvers.

Very good of you to take CC on a hunt too.

Best of luck to you sir!

Thanks everyone! I'm a little under the weather, I think I might have a touch of the flu. No detecting for me for a few day.
