fair price for mxt?

Im new to metal detecting,,l have been doing some reasearch and from what i have read the whites mxt is a good all round starter machine. I have a lead on one that was used once. Price is $440..is that a fair price? Will it see small gold? Thanks, parker

The price is good. I have had a mxt for several years and found my first small gold nugget last year. I have not got out a lot but have found lots of very small metal which could have been gold if it was there. Good luck and have fun !

Went to a pawn shop and wound up with a gold bug 2 for 300 instead,,cant believe i just walked in and there it was...im sure i will have lots of questions.....cant believe all the nails, wire and junk in my garden!!! No gold yet but im after it!!!
