I went to the local fairground this morning and afternoon to detect for a bit.
I'll just say the morning hunt went way better than the afternoon hunt.
In the morning hunt, i found close to $2.00 all in clad. The afternoon hunt plain and simply sucked. In two hours i dug close to 50 signals and all but four of them was pulltabs reading in the penny range.
The other four signals was all newer pennies in horrible shape.
I did meet a fellow detectorist who said he had been hitting the fairgrounds for thirty years. He didnt fair much better this afternoon with just a few clad coins.
Hope everyone else got to detect today,
Allen

I worked one site and filled a 5 gallon bucket with junk, after that the goodies started popping up rather frequently. Fairgrounds can be tough, but they didn't get everything.
