Yesterday Yard Sale - I asked the lady if she had any old fans , she said she thinks there's one in the garage , but it's all apart . She brought out the box of parts - I looked at it and offered her $3.00 - she said ''sure , my husband took it apart years ago and he forgot how to put it back together .'' It's a JACK FROST fan .

Last night I did some painting . Today I did some reassembly . I still have to rig up the cord and switch ( I bought the wrong size rubber grommets at the hardware store this morning )

It depends - the worm gears that make it oscillate looked a little chewed - If it doesn't oscillate , I will take a needle file to them .
I'll find out tomorrow when I hook the cord & switch up . This is the best time of year to sell fans - it's so gosh darn HOT !

Nice streamline design and a great job. I saw they have a forum on restoration of your finds down below. Do you ever post your projects there also?. I guess I'll look to see if you did after I write this. I just last week noticed it and I think you'd be good for tips and advice for some of the things folks are doing in that area of interest.
