Dug this old newspaper stamp. Its an advertisement for electric light.
Its one of my favorite finds. It really tells alot....Enjoy.

It reads like this,

Riches can secure
no better illumi-
nant than Electric
Light for the mansion,
yet our rates are so low
that every home--even
the most modest can
afford it.
Electric Light is the
brightest, cleanest, most
convenient and hygi--
enic light as well as the
most economical

If your home is not
wired for electricity
ask now for the details
of our deferred payment
house wiring plan.

Thanks guys.., PTP... I like how its worded, and the L in the word Light is capitalized...
And electric light is the cleanest , most convenient and hygienic light as well as the most economcal, . I guess compared to candle lighting!
Still gives me the giggles.

How about inking that plate up and printing the ad on a piece of computer paper? It would be so cool to see it as it was in the newspaper. Nice find - congrats. (I used to work for the local electric utility company and a find like that would make me do the happy dance. )
....gotta try that...
