Favorite songs I was raised on

Great songs. Thank you for all the great tunes. I do my best to listen to every song, so sometimes it takes a while to get through them. And please don’t worry if it’s been played before or not. That last run had a few I haven’t heard before. Also had a few of my favorites. I have been putting in some long fishing days and I’m looking for to a couple days off. We still haven’t caught the big one yet.

Dionne Warwick sang & performed many songs composed by Burt Bacharach, & Hal David lyrics that became big hits. This one was on the radio a lot when I was a kid.... I always think of my Best Friends Wedding. Just a happy, catchy tune

A John Hartford composition , he could play, he could sing, a member of the wrecking crew, had the Glen Campbell goodtime hour. From Dec. 1964 - March 1965 filled in for Brian Wilson as a Beach Boy ( Bass guitar & harmony vocal) Here he is surrounded by friends & celebrity talent, & having fun w/ a smile

I was 6. Lol! I was heavily influenced by my parent’s taste in music, which is why I love the golden oldies and country. Then, my mom enrolled my brother and I in dance classes. He was nine years older than me. So, he introduced me to the 60’s and 70’s rock. My teenage years were filled with about the same genre as yours. I love a lot of varieties.

How about KC and the Sunshine Band, @Oregon Viking ? Or is that still to early? 😎

I loved Glen Campbell. I did not know about him filling in for Wilson as a Beach Boy.
