Here's the take from todays 3 hour hunt. Found 4.5 discs of lead about penny/nickel size and 1/4" thick. Not sure what they are. Found a nice religious pendant, a big tag, 3 flat buttons(3 different sizes too) and a strange octagonal buckle. Not sure what the lead discs or octagonal buckle things are, so if you know please help me out. Anyway...Just wanted to share today's results.

Happy Hunting!

-Nate

The lead discs are called bale seals. They were used to mark packages and as a show of no tampering such as a seal would do today. They are a common find in agricultural zones. The big tag came from ole bessie. The buckle is a buckle lol sorry no help there

Cool finds! I believe you have some lead seals there, bail seals or shipping seals.

From the land of the Bluenose.....always nice to find religious stuff. Looks as if youu were hunting along the salt water by the corrosion.

Nice finds! We call that little buckle a sash buckle but that might be wrong, the big tag might be a cow tag, and everyone identified the lead seals, I'd go hunt that site more. HH
