I was definitely ready to retire my equipment for the year until I found these. Went back to the honey hole tonight after work and found nothing. Time to find another spot to dig up. Not a bad find considering I've only detected total of 30 to 40hrs my whole life.

30 to 40 hours?! Yesterday I detected for nine hours and found less than a dollar in clad, and one wheat penny.

Those Morgans are a wonderful find!

I really believe the silvers were in the can at some point. The first coin was in the same hole, the next 3 were just feet from it. The odd thing is this was all found in a old cow pasture. Hasn't been cattle there in 20 years but there is just no good reason for these being there. I'm definitely going to keep checking this place out every chance I get. Never know what else could be there. Only other stuff I found anywhere near this has been bits of old steel wire fence.

Incredible finds. Congratulations.

NEVER give up. When you begin to get really frustrated it often means that your right on the verge of something great. I know 'cause I've been there myself.
If you give up at that point, you'll never know what might have been.
Just keep swingin'.

Aren't you really glad you did??

Been detecting for 30 + years and nary a silver dollar yet here unless you can count two clad "Ikes" !! You bought some lottery tickets too I hope after that find, not with the silver dollars of course !

You might have stumbled on an old homesite check around any older trees in the area could be more caches around there.

These silvers are going into my coin collection for good. First chance I get I'm going to detect the whole area. Have found couple more old steel bud cans and a large steel can but no more coins at all.

At 30-40 hrs, I was thrilled to find a clad quarter. My favorite coin x 4? Dream hunt for me.

Nice job on the Morgans. I've found 3 of them, but they were 5 yrs. apart !!
