went to a middle school with my new md buddy mark and we detected for about 2 hrs. mark found a bunch of clad. he's been doing this for a long time. i found two quarters, two rosies, three pennies, a piece of a cap gun, a strange piece of metal and a cool button. i think i'm finally getting the hang of this, lol. gonna take lots more practice before i know what i'm doing.

Hang in there, we all had to pay our dues. It sounds like you have a mentor to help which is invaluable. It can also be a little frustrating when they make it look so dang easy. Welcome to the hobby and keep us updated on your finds...Ryan

Just take your time and wile learning I did everything. The detector isn't allways rite. When I first started with my MXT I hit a single that said pulltab but when I dug it, it was a smell ring.

Be patient and lean your machine, and it won't be long before you're finding the good stuff.
