went over to check if anyone was around the 1875 School Today,
and there happened to be a Truck there unloading a Coffin,
So I stopped & asked if he owned the place.

After telling me no & Just delivering, He gave me the Phone # of the Funeral Home that uses it for storage, so I made a call Quick, Long story short, he called me back within 5 Minutes & told me he Buried the Pile of Gold in the yard, So if I find it, It's His :laughing7:

Reminded me of Caddy Shack

Looks like a great spot, must be a shame you had to spend all that money for a machine you have to put in a bag?

Yeah, Jeff! It started raining here while I was detecting so I went to the Blazer, got my raincoat ( for ME ) and kept on digging, lol. Looks like a nice place. Hope you get back soon when it isn't raining.

There's always a funny guy mentioning the gold they lost if you find it! Lol!

Nice bunch of finds you got! There probably some silver there too.

Jeff I didn't know you could find those erasers with a metal defector! I find the metal part that holds 'em, but not the eraser.

I keep zip bags and a cheap rain poncho in the truck when I'm detecting, prefer to take my showers inside in warm water. Hope you don't get a cold now.

Looks like you've got some nice spots to hunt! GL. HH!

I am hoping to hit the grass edges of a tot lot Sunday, in hopes of finding that elusive ring! They use those rubber mats in the tot lot so there's nothing to dig!

Yes I have a rain Hood for My Explorer too But it was sitting here at home :-[
didn't look like rain & was 66 & climbing when I headed out the door.
I won't leave it at home again :tongue3:
last thing I need is a Cold, Though I rarely get them & when I did I usually got rid of them Very Quick.
But then that was when I smoked & I figure the Nicotine Killed the Cold Germs in Me.
Now I don't have that cure so :dontknow:

Good Luck Sunday !

Ya know, I just love hunting a place that looks like that, it sort of takes me back to that time. Every time I look
around, it gives me a thrill.

A good find or two wouldn't hurt either. ;) But, just being there is neat.

Thanks for sharing!

A place like that could really throw an old coin at you very easily. If you re digging shot gun brass it has not been metal detected much. That is a target every machine says to dig. Try that coin in some warm peroxide and see what it does. Lots of targets for a rainy Pa day.

I've been looking at that Yard for 3 Years now.
I must admit since I was doing practically everything next to it,
And it is used every time there is a Carnival beside it
odds are the Boro or Church even Mows it while they are at it,
I was very tempted to just help myself. But something said wait & ask

The amount of Brass is very odd considering location

That's a great old property ! I can't wait to see what you find when you get a fair weather shot at it - the construction area looks tasty too .

Sounds like it might have some jewelry in there to. I know when I dig that brass it has not been hunted much if at all. Yeah I get tempted to.. The area looks great. Good luck. Glad you guys are able to get out at last.

Yes sir, I agree. I hunted a new cornfield yesterday and 2 out of the 3 good targets in it were old shotgun brass.

the Construction area is these 2 Buildings.
is Circled here

Untitled.jpg

One is now sitting on the edge of the Yard I got permission for today.
Probably Temporary
But appears they are building a New longer Concession.

I really wanna detect the edges in case coins rolled under the old Buildings,
Or change was lost before they even put them there the first time
