Third land hunt is the charm I guess. Went to a state park to play for almost two hours. We have hit it hard and so have others. However the park is huge with a capital H. Oldest coin I have ever found in it was an 1825 large cent.

Today I played in the woods like normal and got two wheat cents next to a tree about a foot apart. I slowed down and hit the area pretty hard. Got a 53 and a 63 rosey for my efforts and a 61 house. A good day for that park.

Hey Scuba, it's nice to see you are human. Congrats on pulling those keepers.

I admit my water hunts are not normal. When I first started they were beyond abnormal. If I didn't find 4 - 6 gold rings a day I wasn't doing good. That was around the year 2004. My land hunting has always been normal since I cleaned out the park in Utah. However I am going back with the E-Trac and I hope more Barbers and another gold coin is hiding in it somewhere. Thanks for the chuckle!

I am so used to seeing a pic heavy post of all your finds. What were you swinging today?

On land I swing the E-Trac. I have a program loaded in it that is a killer on coins and leaves most the trash in the ground. Probably gold also though because it discriminates pull tabs. That is ok though. I get enough gold in the water.

The dimes and pennies were all I found. Not one piece of trash.

The problem with the dirt is I am not weightless. I can't swing very long. And that Sun Ray probe on my E-Trac is just making it too heavy. I am taking it off today and try to find where I put my Garrett PP. The E-Trac was heavy enough without it.

I am waiting a little while longer to see if Minelab comes out with a lightweight detector as good as the E-Trac. I decided against the Dirty 30.

I am waiting till I have a bit of land silver to take to the bank before I open my safe deposit box to get a picture of this years water totals. Two silver dimes is hardly enough to open it for. Hopefully I will have a bit more before I take my journey to Utah for the winter and spring.

Thanks all

I took my boats out of the water and winterized both. Anything I missed can wait till next year! Doubt I am stronger. Just want to keep playing as long as I can.

Thanks all. and yes I REALLY miss the water and the fun I was having.
