Well,it,s been a slow year so far moved to new area hitting the local parks etc,finding wheaties but still no silver.I had business today so lamented a day lost but threw in my detector all the same.so while my son was at the drivers license bureau i went across street to a small green area between two auto parts stores that i,d searched before using a 950 coil.and found a grapeshot and pocket full of tabs.only this time using a 600 coil to get between the trash got a low signal.More trash i thought but trying to clean the area to get to the deep stuff so dug it anyway.This time?an eagle general staff button near a pulltab.4 more pulltabs and then...a williams type3 cleaner bullet.More pulltabs always pulltabs but still managed to dig up 2minis cal577,and of course more pulltabs but still no silver.

Is the staff officers button you found only about 5/8" in diameter?
I found a small button a while back and I believe that's what it is...

The back of this one is completely gone, so I can't get a good ID on it...
