I had almost gave up on halves for awhile.. glad i didnt..Silver halves drought has ended in somewhat of a bang. After 20 boxes..(AWGGH). I picked up my normal 4 boxes a week. Silver shines once again.

Customer Halves from last week.

1964, 1966, 1968dx3 1969dx2... So not bad. First silver halves in awhile there..

IKES from last week. ALL common. A few stand out as being UNC though.

NOW the boxes :)

THIS WEEKS BOXES.

Halves---

Box 1
1963d
1967x2

Box 2
1960d
1964
1967x2
1968d

Box3 Here is what I would call a "VERY GOOD" Box

I always check ends of rolls before I start just to see. And 1 roll had Walker and another roll had a 1967 at the end of 2 rolls. I knew it could be good.
So..

1935 d holed
1945 holed
1952d
1964x3
1965
1966x2
1967x8
1968dx7
1969x4

Box 4

1964d
1965
1968d
1976s SILVER

And something odd. FRANCO AMERICANA COLONIA? ( I was thinking of Spaghetti o's.. lol ) Its about the size of a half dollar. I have no clue what this is.

Nickels--- Man I wish I would have tried nickels a long time ago after the last week or so.

First Box

1912 V nck in G .. Yes another 1912 that makes 2
1936 buff in G
1938s in VF
1938d in VF+
1939d in XF
1939s in VF+
1943P
I have no idea how im finding those 38s in about a week apart. That makes 2 maybe 3 of those date/mint. Someones collection I guess.

Here is an thing though. There was over 3 rolls of pre 60 nickels in here. It was odd seeing pre 60s in just about every roll and sometimes 2-3 even 4 per roll! Nice mix of dates/mints to. A few nice coins stand out

1940d in VF
1948 in XF
1955d in XF+

Second Box
1939s in VG
1943S
1944P

1971 circ proof.

Dimes-- Thought about trying them again. glad I did.

box 1-- Skunk.
box 2- 1964..

Cents--
One box

14 common wheats

1959 in UNC

Thats it.. Sorry for long post. Best of luck to everyone out there. I thought it wasnt still out there. But this week has changed my mind.

Re: FINDS in the last week. Silver and more.

Congrats on finally scoring on the Ag. This shows that persistance pays off.

I'm frankly amazed at the nickels you got - I haven't seen a V nickel in circulation since I was a kid ( 40 years ago), and the buffs went out around the same time. Yet, people like you keep finding them in rolls. This is, IMHO, proof positive that today's hard times are making people desperate to get cash from any source, and if they find a jar or some rolls of coins in a closet, off to the bank they go.

Very encouraging - I wish you continued good luck.

That seems to be what you have, I can't seem to find much information about how much originals are worth, but if it isn't a restrike it is one of the oldest coins ever found CRHing, from 1796 :o

http://www.coinfacts.com/colonial_coins/castorland/castorland_jetons.htm

^That site also has more information about what you have

If it isn't a restrike that thing could be -rare-.

You got a 38D, 38S, 39D and 39S all in one box of nickels? Must have been a dumped collection. It took me 15 years to finally find a 1939D nickel.
