This is my second post of goodies from S. East St. in Raleigh, NC.

Any help in their ID would be greatly appreciated.

Previous coins found a this location include a 1939 Merc, 2 wheats, 1-64 nickel and all kinds of clad.
Some items such as can`s, toys, car parts and plumbing supply items have been omitted from the pictures.

The badge is about 1.75 inches wide x 2.00 inches tall and has what`s left of a small post on the back side for attachment.
I assume it`s copper.

The shell was found by Bob S.
There are no numbers or letters on it`s base and measure close to 5/8 inches wide by 1 and 1/2 inches long.
I`ve never seen anything like it.
Sorry the pics are so dark i was loosing natural light.

I would take the badge to the Police Department and see what they say. It looks like an old police badge when they put the officers name on it. They might even be able to help you locate the family of the officer that wore the badge. Good luck and let us know how you make out.

VVVVery interesting.

Thanks for the link and i hope the ID of the casing is almost as easy :) as the time you put in on the badge.
