I'm usually dirt from head to toe when I'm done and haven't had clean nails in years!
Nice bullet though!
Still looking for my first one.

Debbie, I borrowed an old Garrett detector from a friend the year of the baseball strike and went to a local CW site to try my luck with nobody to help me to learn the detector. My son and I found pieces of trace chains and only iron items there that day. The next day I went back and dug my first 3 ringer. You never forget when you hold that piece of history in your hand or feel that heavy object in that handful of dirt that you pass in front of your coil and just know it's lead. Congrats and I hope that's only the first of many hundreds of bullets that you recover. HH, Quindy.

nice 3 ringer it's a great feeling digging civil war anything.....the other one i have several that I've been told were hospital bullets that were used to chew on while being work on and some i was told that wild pigs would pick up and chew. sometimes you can see the teeth marks which look human and really send a chill down your spine.
