Took my new Nox 800 out for a test drive yesterday to an old spot by my house. Didn’t find too much but we did find some older stuff. The highlight was a silver thimble, 4 flat buttons, copper wedding band and a 1879 IHP. The thing that I noticed between the 600 and 800 is I seemed to be getting a bit deeper but the could have been the spot we were on. I’ve also been hearing horror stories about the 4khz update and battery issues, I have a buddy who’s 800 had issues until he removed the update and my 600’s battery issues began after I did the update So I think I’ll leave my 800 as is.

You've got a beautiful spot to hunt. I'm about an inch away from buying an 800. Gary
Do it!! You’ve been a good boy all year, ate all your vegetables, cleaned your room and did all your chores, you won’t be sorry!!!!!!

Nice debut Joe! I have the 600 and haven't done the update- I prefer to not jump into the new things until there's been time to hear any horror stories- I think mine will stay as it is as well. GL going forward with it!

My 600 is already back, I had to do a factory reset as it was acting “ haunted” and not fully powering up, now it’s fine

Nice! I've heard a lot of great things about the Nox 800, I've currently got an ACE 300 but I intend to upgrade eventually.
