READ the first post.

He was 7. Even if he found something, he was a minor.

Secondly, it happened 40-50 years ago (again, see the first post). Stealing presumes something of value was taken. Nothing was. Apologies made and whumping given. Stealing could not happen without something of value being taken.

Thirdly, he's a newbie. (See number of posts made). Giveth him (and us) a break!

Thanks Tuberale, for the defense. Seems some people have double standards, they advise some to go ahead and dig it up on fed or state land and keep their mouth shut and next week brag on how law abiding they are. Maybe it's a time of month thing.

My first thought was the same, that is was plain stealing, but then at the end where it turned out what it turned out to be, made the story a funny one of "boys will be boys" and the innocent trouble they get into. This was exactly the case here...No malicious intent just youthful curiosity. I obviously do not condone what you did nor do you...
Its a funny story is the point nothing more, nothing less!
