First Large Cent!!! She's a little crusty but she got me into the club :-))

She's a crusty 13 star Matron Head with a cross chiseled into the reverse but I'm still thrilled to have dug my first large coppa. Minted 1816-1835 but that's as far as i can identify it. The liberty shows in the headband but the date still eludes all my efforts to bring it out...I tried the peroxide method and that helped identify it but a little acid on a q-tip really brought out what detail is left... I know some of you are cringing at the thought but I'm determined to bring out the date even if i have to hook up with a CSI and use some of that stuff they bring out old ground off serial #'s from guns LOL..Thanks for havin a look!!
