First Loomis Box of Nickels yields 1950

So I have been picking up from a couple of local BoA's. They had String boxes, but I decided to hit another one in the next town over on the way home the other day. Brought me a box I'd never seen before. Was a Loomis box. Here is what I got out of it. Nothing too great, but I pull all the pre 1960 stuff just because. Unfortunately no War Nickels, but some good older hits including a 1950D!

1941D? It is dirty on the obverse so not sure if it's a D or S. Some sort of tarry looking stuff.

Not even sure what # nickel box this is for me. I was keeping track but kind of stopped. I know it's less than 10 boxes. Probably like 3 or 4 I've done give or take.

im at about 50 boxes and of the jefferson nickels i have one 1939 D and one V nickel nice 50D ! i hope to get mine in the box for tonight

My numbers are not exact since I only started keeping track of what I searched and my finds this year.

30 boxes is a rough guess on what I searched since 2007 when I started this hobby. Wish I had started ordering half dollar boxes before this year as well. hh

I found my first '50D just last month and I couldn't believe it at first either.

I suppose so. Guess it was either find a couple of war nickels or a rare 1950. I'm happy.
