Got my first silver dime and nickel this weekend! I had tried a box of dimes previously, with no results, and was kind of unenthused about dimes in general. I did continue to purchase CWR's of dimes at banks where I didn't have an account, but only 5-10 rolls at a time. Saturday, I did a small road trip, and at one of the last out of town banks I hit I only got $10 in nickels and $5 in dimes. Imagine my surprise to find not only a 1960 Roosevelt dime, but also an undated buffalo and a (non-silver) 1942 nickel!
The silver nickel I found doing my first box of MWR nickels, which I picked up from one of the banks I do have an account with. Fascinating to hear that silver ring sound coming from a nickel!
Got skunked on silver halves, but got a nice proof, and at least I ended up with some weekend silver. Now if I can only find time to get back to that bank again!
