Great find! The coin isn't rare, but its rare to find one. Most of us will still have it on our list when we die. Looks like the 8 tail feathers variety.

She's a beauty.
For being the only coin you found you definitely got a great one.

Congratulations on an awesome find.

Yup , That's a coin most will never find ! I'm just this side of a Banner vote when people find these large classic SILVER dollars !
As an earlier post mentioned - these coins aren't rare (excepting key dates) but they are rarely dug . Excellent find !!!
First year of the series too !

My mother gave me one a few months before she past unexpectedly. It is by far the biggest one on my wishlist to dig. They are popping out of the ground lately, maybe tomorrow?

Great find! Congrats!

Awesome Find!!! The question is whether finding on large coin is better then finding a whole bunch of smaller ones!!! (I'd go with the big coin)

Well , If I could only find one coin , It would be a 1933 Saint Gaudens $20. dollar gold piece - or a 1913 V nickel , or a class I 1804 dollar.

I like your goals, no point pointing for the low stars (small potatoes). But I might cut back gold coin to say any $20 piece. And probably forget about the 1804....but hey...anything is possible.
