I went to my favorite foundation thats given me so many great coins in the past three years. I have used three detectors and four coils over these years. But I have to say, getting the 12x15 SEF for the Etrac was probably the best invesment I've made. I know for a fact that I went over the spot with every machine I used, Tesoro Compadre, Minelab Sovereign XS-2a Pro, and Etrac with the stock 11" coil. But this was the first time using the 12x15 SEF in there. The first signal, after 2 minutes being there is an 1888 V-nickel. Then six feet away, I get a sweet silver tone. I dug three times and out pops a half dollar. I pick it up, brush it off, 1934. Check the hole. Another silver signal. Take another shovel full of dirt and get a 1925 quarter. Check the hole one more time and hear more. One more scoop and get an 1898 Barber dime. The half dollar is in superb condition for being in the ground. Luckily, the dirt is very rich, damp, and dark, preserving the coins.
