I’m kind of embarrassed to admit it, but this is indeed my first Spanish silver. I’ve found some cool stuff, including MA silver and a couple pocketfuls of coppers, but this one has eluded me. Unfortunately I just can’t get out that much anymore. I’ve been eyeing this small field for awhile but it’s only huntable for a few weeks after the snow melts and before the grass and brush get too high. Fortunately we had a lot of wet snow and ice this winter that knocked down the old stuff pretty good. I didn’t have one decent signal before this, and none after, so this was a shocker! Looks like the Lima mint if I have my mintmarks right. Very nice condition! I found a 1773 half real a few years back, but it's holed and worn to heck.

Hahahaha what a loser....1st Spanish silver. Pretty sad old friend! Just kidding bro. When you start with one of the rarest Mass silvers on earth it makes no difference if you never find a Spanish. I still remember the day I looked for your Mass silver variety and realized what it was. Good memories

Nothing to be embarrassed about Dirtwisher. Spanish silver doesn't come along very often, if at all. Yours is a beauty. I would love to see another picture of it after you get it cleaned up a little. It appears to have a lot of detail. You also get credit for taking advantage of the ground conditions. Spring is my favorite season for detecting . You can get into areas that would be impossible any other time of year. Congratulations!!!

only one decent signal for the day, so sad that it HAD TO BE SUCH AN AWESOME COIN! congrats on getting out and finding it while you could. I do believe that I would settle for that being my one and only decent signal for the day.

Congrats on checking that one off the bucket list, while we on the east coast are spoiled I'm sure there are many that spend a lifetime swinging and never find one. Just think of what was going on in the colonies in 1773!!!
