First thing I nees to do is learn the tones.
Deus seems to love deep bottle caps lol.
The knife and the radiator cap was deep around 7-11". Mind you that this is the same area I've hammered with my at pro.

I just got one, no time in the field with it yet.

I did a test in my backyard and planted a quarter 10" down and covered it up, Deus easily picked it up with repeatable signal, good pinpoint and even high VDI numbers. I did have to tinker with the settings to do it though, no unmodified factory program produced a decent signal and I went through all of them.
Saw guys on youtube doing the same with a dime, so yes this machine has alot of potential once tweaked and learned.

Man you are going to love that Deus! I also went from ATPro to Deus, and I was encouraged to put a few months in on the Deus Fast program before trying to tweak the settings. It was an easy transition.

If you are curious about full tones, I have a great program I could send you. There is also much information over on the Deus forum here.

Yes, the Deus loves rusty bottle caps...thankfully it also loves tiny silver masked by iron!

That would be great. I think I like full tone I like to hear all the different in signals. Thanks in advance.

Bottle caps will give an iron buzz along the edges but I will dig them most of the time especially if deeper sounding. You never know

The biggest surprise I got today was 1 of those quarters was around 9" and a lot of rusty item on the sides but when I dug it up airing right on top was the marble.

I gotta get out this weekend, I did a few hour playing yesterday, couldnt get out today
Went today and got some 3/8 rubber bumpers for the buttons, I could see me having to use my fingernail all the time would wear them out, I like the bumpers easy to push and add programs a lot faster now.

Next thing ya know you'll have some curb feelers mounted and maybe a raccoon tail. On the job training is the best, keep swinging my friend.
