First weekend with the Deus

Had a few good finds on my first weekend with the Deus also dug a lot of trash which is normal for me. I do have one issue with it: when set to Deus Fast I get a random, loud medium tone signal that reads 25 on the VDI and lights up the entire right side of the indicator horseshoe. This happens with the coil in the air or on the ground and at several different sites. I have found that if I decrease the reactivity from 3 to 2 it will stop. My buddy just got a Deus too and his doesn't have the same problem. I set reactivity to 4 this morning in my house and it doesn't seem to have the same problem there so I'll try that out today.

Try lowering that reactivity a bit. 4 is only for EXTREME trash. Lowered sensitivity mean more depth!

Thanks for the reply and advise! Turns out it's a problem with the coil. It works fine on all reactivity levels accept 3. Ed at Treasure Mountain put me in touch with Mo at Detector Electronics and he knew exactly what was going on and is sending me a new coil.
