First year's finds

Got an Ace 350 w/ DD coil last christmas. Here is what I found.
1. First "gold" - 14K gold plated ring
2. First real gold ring. 10K mothers ring with small diamond chip, ruby, emerald and blue saphire. Found in 2 pieces.
3. The heart attack - 14K (0.274 troz) with 2 small diamonds (0.125 ct each)
4. Mickey Mouse 14K gold (about the size of a dime)
5. Womens ring 14K gold with 10 amethyst (immediately claimed by the wife lol)
6. Various silver jewelry
7. Close-up of spoon ring made from a silver dime. Curiously it IS silver even though it is minted in 1969. Any ideas where you would get a silver dime in 1969?

No picture of a signet ring that I found in 3 pieces (probably 10K, need to get it checked out.)

Also found over $120 worth of clad. No silver coins...need to figure that one out, I know that has to be the users fault not the equipment.

Thanks to all for motivating me with their posts...:)

Nice finds--- I have an Ace 350 that I acquired at the end of August. These are all great finds! Like you, my first gold was a plated ring.
I think finding silver coins has more to do with going someplace where a lot of people have been there in the right time period, but I've only found one silver coin so far, so I am hardly an expert. You are going great and keeping other Ace350 user like me motivated! :laughing9:

No, I hunt mainly the local parks and baseball fields. Found out that the 350 is not really well suited for the beach. (No ground balancing... :( ). It works okay in dry sand but not in wet salty sand. Probably getting a Tesoro next year for the beaches... :P
Thanks

That amethyst ring is super pretty. You don't find them that nice that often.
The coin ring is on my list of wants. Nice find!
Next year you might find 100 rings. They're out there.

Your "spoon" ring is actually a coin ring made from a barber dime. Your date is 1906 look better at it I'm almost certain that you missed something ;)

Quite a lot have been posted on here. If it is 1906, it may have a WWI connection (bored soldier -kinda trench art)
