Fish Bone Bead

I found this in N.E. La. at a pre-Poverty Point site. It's a fish vertebra that was drilled out to make a bead. This is one reason I get on my hand and knees to look for artifacts. You are the only other person I have ever seen post one of these besides myself. I don't think even Larson (Steve) had any of these. That is a very nice one and drilled really well. I have several and a couple that are really highly polished and drilled out really well.

Here's a few I have found. In the first picture there is one on each side of the black Point, which by the way is made from Cannel Coal. The second picture has one on each side of the long Bone Bead at the top and the last picture has one just to the left of the small Drilled Discoidal. I have a few others but no pictures of them right now.

Very cool, I haven't found any type of beads/jewelry yet, but really considering sifting to start finding them. Congrats!
