Has anyone ever seen a flat cuff button with an Eagle Back mark? I also posted some other finds from this new permission in the Low Country.

Yeah, I've seen a button with an eagle on the back! That's a CSA button!

You have got to be kidding me, right? Come on...

I think that it's an officers coat button. Maybe cuff button can't tell the size.

Absolutely stunning find from The Confederacy.

Could not be any more jealous...

Congrats.

I know this and I didn't put the pictures in the right order. The flat button on my finger tip is the button in question. The rest of the pics were of other finds from the same location. Sorry for the confusion. I edited the post and moved the CS Staff Officers Cuff to the bottom. LOL

Yes several buttons with an eagle backmark have been posted. Although I forget the reason.

The eagle back Mark I believe was made in England and used as a marketing tool so people would want to buy the buttons even though the style of the times was a plain face. 1830s 1840s in my opinion
