Very nice piece of flint there Steve,

I can't see the broke end well enough to form an opinion on it. Could you describe how long and wide it is and if it any area of the tool has use polish or wear? Any Signs of resharpening?

It almost looks like it could be an agricultural tool now that I look a little harder at it. Looks like it does have some use polish.

Joel

It is 5" long by 1.75" on the big end and 1 inch on the small end
I don't know about re-sharpening or polish or wear
here is 2 more images if this helps

I found this walking last fall
I have no idea what it is
it is broke off on the big end
maybe it is unfinished?
It sure is about a very NICE piece of KRF
any ideas??

I wouldn't know what to say it is and can't tell about use-wear. You may be right about it being an unfinished piece.

It's nice material, very similar in color to KRF but this piece appears to be petrified wood.

Hi 11KPB,
You know, I think you are right about the probability of it being petrified wood It must have been
considered a heck of a nice piece of raw material in its day,
maybe even worthy of trading for some other commodity
it is a nice piece of clear(no defects) material, Right?
