I have spent the last couple of days hitting a late 1800s house site and have been pulling a few keepers mostly IH pennies. We'll had a couple of hours to kill just before dark so off I went , took about 30 minutes to get the first good signal. It was 8 inches down most IH have been 6 inches down . It was crusty so I put in the pill bottle and went back to swinging 30 minutes later another signal at 6 inches , I could see it was a IH but it was pretty dirty and getting dark so I headed home. The last coin I dug cleaned up real good , a real nice 1889 the second one took a little more but managed to get a date 1858 that's when I noticed the Eagles head , my first Flying eagle , I was pumped!

Great looking coppers, I still haven't found a flying eagle yet, yours seams to be flying inverted though:laughing7:.

Congrats on the FE! Yours is in better shape than mine- you were lucky to get a date. As for the IH- WOW, did that clean up well! That's a real beauty. Congrats on two great finds.
