What can I say, to be honest I didn't know that that was a finger in a glove, I wasn't sure what the piece was laying on. Only that it was laying on something with a strange surface. You're welcome to have a laugh on me!

You're a good sport, Mark. Once I went back and looked at the picture of the gnarly gloved appendage, I could sorta see how one could misinterpret the picture. Happy Thanksgiving!

Very nice Bird point, they are Always my favorite find around here, most are quartz or Obsidian and some with Fantastic craftmanship or craft ladyship as I am told the females made most of the arrowheads traditionally in the PNW.

I've never heard that one before...

Bow and arrow has been around for about 1100-1400 years, so if it's older than that it's an atlatl dart point. They still used atlatls when the Spanish arrived in the 1500's, though not as frequently as the bow.

Likely arrow it looks woodland period by then they used smaller points so that they could fire farther these smaller points would often do more damage to Buffalo deer or whatever they were hunting because of the force of such a small point impacting so hard
