Found a killer - maybe a Charleston Corner Notched?

Found this beaut today. nearly perfect except for two chips on the ears! Thinking it's a Charleston; that's the closest thing I can find, or some sort of re-worked Kirk.

Amazing and in good shape. Miracle it survived with just nipped ears. Nice serrations. Great find!

I've never heard of a Charleston point. Looks similar to Ross points from Ohio. Beautiful!

I've never heard of a Charleston either, but there's a lot I haven't heard of. I dunno, Pinetree, Stillwell, KCN...? Hellacious, whatever it is. I wouldn't know how to act.

Pure luck, as always. Digging at an early archaic site. Haven't really found anything that pristine except a couple of Daltons. Other than broken ears it's in pretty good shape. Still sharp!

I'm guessing the ears are not broken but made that way. Check it out and let us know. A lot of point types have those squared off ears, check out Clay points found in Fla. & Ga. for a similar look.

That is a beautiful monster sized point. If found in the mid Atlantic I would call it a Charleston too, but believe further south they are usually called St. Charles, Pinetrees, Kirk's etc., all very similar points. Congratulations and HH.
