This is an open field that I've wanted to detect for a few years now. It's situated between two old limestone buildings, one is a water tower, the other is a farmhouse.
I was able to detect this site for 2hrs today before the rains came. There's been a lot of soil disturbance in the field in between the two structures and the majority of the finds came from near the farmhouse.
The pocket watch is nickel-plated on brass and has a locomotive engraved on the back cover. My last 'keeper' of the day was a 1910 'King Edward VII' Penny!
I also found part of a skeleton key, a squished bullet and a rose head nail. I'll tumble the remains of the pocket watch to try and get more detail.
Thanks very much for looking and Happy Halloween!
