cool token. Found a reference pic to it in TOKENS AND MEDALS first ed. by Alpert and Elman on page 175. Its the 1st one on the page. Wtg :icon_thumright:

I have found other tokens that have the same king of symbols like the horseshoe the four leaf clover wishbone... I haven't heard of the German symbol being a lucky symbol... those are usually found on good luck tokens... I always laugh when I find them... and say... guess it didn't work for them... they lost it.... I'll post some pics of the ones I found.... good find.... keep at it!

That's a neat find!! The symbol is really a good luck symbol, it is not a Swastika because it is backwards. I have tokens with this
symbol on them, dated as far back as 1909 and they are Boy Scout tokens from Excesliur shoe company. So you see this symbol was
used way before some screwball in Germany turned it around.

Yes, that symbol has been around way before the nazi's put a bad taste in your mouth with it. The Chinese even used it many years ago, but their meaning escapes me right now......ANYway, GREAT finds there, keep it up! :icon_thumleft:
