Found: Civil War Indian Head token coin...

Found this at a local coin dealer... he simply knew it was a Civil War token of some kind.

The coin looks like an indian head penny but is made of steel.

One side shows the indian head and "UNITED" on one side and "WE STAND" on the other. Date is 1863.

Back side is harder to make out...

(across the top) BROAS PIE BAKERY
(across the bottom) 131 41st ST N.Y.

and says ONE COUNTRY in the middle with a star under it.

Anyone have more info? Is this something with value or just neat to have?

I found some on ebay. Just put "BROAS PIE BAKERY CIVIL WAR TOKEN" in the search, you will find them. Only thing other than that is a site about coin errors. Most ebay ones are cheap.

Some Civil War Tokens are listed in the Red Book. I'm no expert but I think they have some value but not alot. I found one that says Army and Navy on the reverse. Here is a pic of the one I found. Definately neat to have.
