Well there I was going through the park on my lunch hour, the one thats been a little lucky lately. When all of the sudden BIIINNNGGGG goes my ace 250. I starting digging a whole and before long was about to give up. I ran the Ace over the hole again,. but the BIIINNNGGGG was gone and now was over the dirt. I couldn't believe what I saw, it was a shield and the "one cent" of an Indian Head !! I flipped it over and looked in disbelief - it was a 1876 Indian Head. I think this year is kind of rare too !! I know it's not in the greatest of shape but it sure is COOL !!!

Thanks for listening and for looking !!

Nice IH ivy. I'm still hoping for my first dug IH....its one of my favorite coins. My wife got one (1909) in change at the local mini mart and wonders why I can't find one because its so simple. What was that cashier thinking? Guess they're all concentrating on the silver or something.

Hope its just the first of many.

Wow, congratulations on your first Indian Head, by the way I just looked up your coin and I'd say the great shape it is in, it would sell for around $35 to $55 and that is rated from G-4 to
F-12. Thats from the Red Book United States Coins 2007.

Great start with many more to come. I'd go back to that site and look for more. Can I suggest you use a SunRay Probe to help locate your finds. My partner and I both use it on our ACE 250's
with much success.

Way better and older than my first indian head I would describe that ace's coin song as a DAANG--DAANG (Multuiple, unstoppable, exciting, cant wait ta dig it up) DAANG"S for a coin what do ya think
