I went to the fairground today. It looked like a hurricane hit it! Beer, and liquor bottles, and boxes, clothing, where everywhere! I was cleaning up some of the mess when an older man drove up and ask me was I keeping cans. I told him no, I was just trying to clean the place up some. He said he wanted the cans and he helped me clean up. Funny thing is he didn't take any cans with him where he left. 8) I started hunting....then a young Spanish man pulled up.....ask me had I found a wallet. He had lost his. I told him nope, but if he would give me his # I would call him if I found it. (Never did find it). I did find 2 quarters, 2 dimes, 19 pennies.

I don't date my coins until I get home. I just looked them over and found a 1945 wheatie! WooHoooo! It's in good condition too.
Another penny is a 1965......the rest are dated from the 70' to 2007. This Wheatie made cleaning that mess up worth it. :)

Congrats on the wheatie. At least you're giving an effort on posting pics, I haven't mustered up the gumption to try yet.

Which detector did you use to find the wheats?

Finding old coins is fun and sometimes can be profitable.

Thanks for sharing with us Pepper

Hey Pepper ! Atta girl ! Welcome to the wheatfields. I always get a thrill when i find a

wheatie. I've found about 26 of them so far with the earliest being a 1928. Sounds like you

are getting the hang of your MXT. thats what im using too (love it !) . I know you've got a

million replies to this post, but when you can ,tell me what coils you are using and how you

set your disc. and gain . Thanks and God bless Gregory, Santa Fe.

What was poor old Mr. Pepper doing? While you were out finding rare & exotic
coinage?
Hope you find a bunch more, in that cantankerish Ga. soil.

Gregory, I love my MXT, too. While hunting this area I had my gain set on about 8....disc on 3. The coil I use is the stock coil. I've played around with the settings in this particular area and these work best if I want to find pennies & nickels. And of course pull tabs by the zillions. ;)

Joe, Mr. Pepper has hired someone to Spring clean the yards. He supervises. ;) Your right about the cantankerish GA. soil! :P

Congrats on the wheatie. Now that you have broken the ice, many more will follow.

Now all you have to be on the look out for is the Confederate pennies. (lol)
