I took some friends for their first hunt today. This piece was in about 3' of water in the creek. At first, it looked like a broken plate. It was face down when I saw it. A little "birdie" and a porcelin doll leg are in the dish or ashtray.. The mark on the back says"Made In Occupied Japan".Anyone seen this piece before?

I haven't seen that particular piece before. My exwife used to collect "Made in Occupied Japan" Items. It was made during the U.S. occupation at the end of WWII. Those kinds of things command a premium so it is worth the time to research it. Please report back to the group so that we may bennifit from you research as well. Happy Hunting!
