Nice find! The 25 Centavos minted in 1939 are apparently Key Dates due to the price that some have fetched. Your coin probably falls condition-wise in between the lower and higher priced ones at the links below and might fetch a price somewhere in the middle if sold on eBay. You did good!

I somewhat disagree! While there are some similarities, they are really as far from being similar as night and day. The image on the U.S. Indian Cent is just Lady Liberty wearing a Native American Indian Chief's Headdress while the Dominican Republic 25 Centavos was probably modeled after an actual Indian native to there or South America.

I did not see it that way either! It's just that to me there are really no similarities other than depicting or trying to depict a Native Indian.
