Found this "Navy" button but need ID help

I found this button in a feild along with a bunch of flat buttons I was hoping for an arly navy but have not been able to ID it Tices book so any thoughts

It appears to be a popular style, got similar one up here last month.
beware of the missing (iron) back.

The iron back method isnt a very good reference for "dating",there are some 1840's buttons with iron backs.

The one in question isnt though
