This Bluejay was just hanging around the gardens in front of the house.
It would pick up piece of a leaf, mulch, hop over to me and drop it.
Wasn't hungry for grains.
New pet?

Neat! The bluejays here love cat food kibbles. You might offer him some of those if he comes back.

It pecked at a peanut for a bit. Till the Mrs came close and it hopped away.
Wasn't afraid of me for some reason.

Blue Jays get a bum rap around here. People think they are bullies at the bird feeders. It’s just how nature works. I love to see them and hear them squawk. Very entertaining birds to watch.

Blue jays are related to crows and are pretty smart. Ours love those peanuts. I’ve never seen one that tame. Are you really St. Francis?

Thank you for the compliment.
It's one of those things that I scratch the noodle on why.
This guy was sitting on a branch 3yrs ago.
I stopped the ATV took a couple of photos, got closer, and petted him under the beak. It just perched there not too concerned.

Ours fight the squirrels too.
Ours just flicks the feed onto the ground, feeding the squirrels. 🤣
Flock of 12-18 can empy the 2 feeders in a few hours.
