Welcome, Congrats and Best of luck ! HH

That's very important practice.
Congrats on the new detector.

Welcome to the addiction. Nice wheat.

What kind of machine did you get?

Good idea I believe the best place to start is always in your own yard, learning some of the sounds your machine makes can be a great help. Also would you want that person digging like that in your yard, gives you a chance to try different digging techniques and see the results in your soil type. I love the way I can easily cut small hinge plugs with the lesche hand digger, beats the hunting knife and old stainless trowel "BIG-TIME". I love my pro-pointer it is often a great help especially on those shallow targets. Pinpoint with the detector then if the pin detects it you can check for outline also with it. Also if the target is very shallow I use my shallow recovery pry tool then.
