You got all kinds of protection I like the armband myself. Don't have to worry about losing the controller as I am hiking through the woods, plus when I want to flip between programs it's really easy. Really the best part about not mounting your controller on the shaft is that you can just drop your machine to the ground when you want to dig up a target.

Ha I drop my machine to the ground even with the remote mounted to the pole. But the remote is (usually) in a protective case when I do that. I like just being able to switch between programs while it is on the pole, by using my thumb.
