I didn't know Garrett made a GTA 350 recently, they did years ago. They have a GTA 550 out and it is a step up from the ACE 250. Unless this GTA 350 is under $100.00 I wouldn't buy it. If it has something wrong with it you would have to send it in to Garrett for repair at a cost of ??? If you already bought it and it works, great.

It would be much better to either get the ACE 250 or the GTA 550. Contact Tony for more info or to order tcmetaldetectors.com

The GTA 350 I recently got on Ebay works fine. Now I only dry land hunt now, but I owned one back in HI as well in 1994-1996, I used that GTA 350 alot at the beach, and it worked well there as well. The GTA 350 was originally a $350 detector, with a free pair of Garret $44.95 headphones with it. I have detected coins down 5-6 inches easily.

It chirps quite alot, which I hate but, you will learn when to dig & not to dig, comes with experience. I paid $157.00 for my latest GTA 350.

I will be purchasing the new GTI2500 soon, and will keep my GTA350 as a backup/loaner detector. If you get a working GTA350 for around $150 or less, I would say it is better than
a cheapo version Bounty Hunter or Discover model, at least it is a more capable detector.
