Has anyone successfully used the Gold Bug II for coin and relic searching?
Thanks
I did a comparison of the GBII and the AT Pro and the AP Gold using the Kellyco chart where you can compare any detector to another as far as features, frequency, etc.

GBIII===71 kHz
AT PRO==15kHz
AT Gold==18kHz

You can do it, but running All Metal to coinshoot is going to wear you out. You would be better off just getting a 8", 12kHz Tesoro Compadre for coin- and jewelry- shooting.

I looked around on the internet and found this. Take it for what it's worth.

Best frequency to use.

US Dime = 2.7 KHz
Gold Coins & other US Coins = below 10 KHz.
Us Nickel & gold Jewelry = 16.5 KHz
Gold Nuggets = above 20KHz
