I just got into MDing, and have found a few things, mostly pennies and a GM 50 millionth car made medal (Caddilac Division) that seems to be from 1954. I'm in mid thumb of Michigan, and I am finally digging plugs more than grand canyons, have my machine set for my yard but still need some discrimination onthe shores of Lake Huron. I guess I wanted to reminfd new people to keep digging and reading over and oer how to hunt. I rediscover something new each read, and I get better by using the detector, testing it, and TRUSTING my relationship with it. Of course my wife burst my bubble when I was detecting today (not really) but she found a nice 1926 wheatie IN HER PURSE. Argh!!!

It's good to hear you are enjoying our hobby :) , and I know
whatcha mean about them wifey's bursting bubbles ;) ,when my
wife goes detecting with me she uses the pin pointer on my digs
and SEE'S stuff laying on the ground better than I dig sometimes >:(
but its a lotta fun. One thing I found with practice is not only learning
my detector , but better pin pointing and smaller holes , it just all seems to come together with practice.
Keep swingin and show us your finds :)

I eyeball a lot of stuff too...

Glad you are enjoying yourself and learning... hopefully you'll keep at it and you find the "big one" - which, very few folks ever do. :'(

Welcome and happy hunting.
